…(what is the difference?)
Many of us hear the Demographics word thrown around a lot and we consider it in our marketing…but so many of us don’t think about Psychographics enough. The more we know about our audience’s/customers’ psychographics, the more tailored and relevant our products, services and messaging can be.
What are some demographic categories?
Age, Gender, Occupation, Religion, Ethnicity, Location, Education, Marital Status
and actual demographic examples?
32 years old, Female, Personal Assistant, Christian, Black, Leeds, Degree Level, Single
Then how about psychographic categories?
Values, Personality traits, Lifestyle, Interests, Beliefs, Attitudes, Behaviours
And some psychographic examples?
Loyalty, Openness, Fitness Centred, Musical Theatre, Family is first, Positive Attitude, Considerate
How much do you know about your audience’s values? Their beliefs? Their interests? Their behaviour? And in what ways can you communicate with them via social/emails/surveys/focus groups to find out more?
